Goal:
Develop an alternate command and control capability that can be activated after a disaster to sustain the critical functions of your enterprise.

Deliverables:

• Through an interactive session with key managers, determine EOC members, roles, and responsibilities.
• Create and document activity checklists for each EOC team through discussions with team leaders.
• Determine EOC primary and alternate locations.
• Determine space, supplies, and equipment needed at the EOC.
• Determine EOC activation criteria and call-out procedures.
• Document all of the above in the EOC Action Plan, also including other resource information such as maps, facility information, transportation routes, and contact telephone numbers.
• Conduct a training session to orient all EOC members on their roles when the EOC is activated.
• Develop and facilitate the first EOC tabletop exercise to test the members’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
• Create an issues/action list of EOC enhancements based on the tabletop exercise.
